Welcome to the GentleFolk website.

The GentleFolk is the professional and personal website of Suzanne Higgins and Patrick Ward. They have been singing together and individually for many years. Together they form The Caledon Singers, a concert party offering an eclectic repertoire from Victoriana to Musicals, and also The GentleFolk, a folk duo specialising in traditional songs accompanied on a variety of instruments.

The GentleFolk and The Caledon Singers have their own pages on which you will find sample programmes.  For  additional programmes click on the Seasonal button. Through our personal pages you can access information on other musical activities, teaching, song writing and recording.  A CD has recently been produced (see more here).

Suzanne’s page reflects her interest in home crafts, and you can view her hefty knits, quilts and wall hangings. She has also produced singing translations of some Weckerlin's Bergerettes, several of which are included in the ABRSM’s new Singing Syllabus. Latest translations include some Brahms Folk Songs
