| Welcome to the personal and professional website of Patrick Ward. ABOUT ME :- I am a large, bearded Bass of Irish descent. Apart from Singing, I like Rugby (I used to play for London Irish, and still support them), Brewing and drinking Beer, and Cooking. MUSIC:- In 1958 I studied Singing and Drama at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I was then called up to do National Service, and never went back, as it became imperative to earn a living. However I put my training to good use and found myself performing lots of operatic roles as an amateur. At one point I played Falstaff and Adonis on successive evenings, though the latter was the only romantic lead I ever sang. (I’m not paranoid – basses really are discriminated against.) In the mid-eighties I started getting offers of professional work and chucked up my job and teamed up with Suzanne as The Caledon Singers.
